Today is the Day!
Being part of the initiative to involve the community in the bidding has been an incredible experience for me. I really appreciate Pat Coyle involving me and it’s been a treat to work with Mark Miles and the incredibly talented team he’s assembled. I also owe a thanks to Patronpath, who provided me the time to do this work. Today we find out if we get the Super Bowl!

After months of preparation, Indianapolis’ bid to for Super Bowl 2012 was hand delivered recently to the various NFL owners by local students and their chaperones. Sending 8th graders to NFL and team headquarters all around the country was just one way Indinapolis made good on its goal to involve the whole community in its bid to host the 2012 Super Bowl here. Always supportive Colts owner, Jim Irsay, was on hand to encourage the students and help to send them on their way.
Tuesday, May 20, is the big day when NFL owners vote to select the winning city.
The Indy bid team is on the ground at the NFL owners meeting in Atlanta, and they’ll likely be lobbying up to the last minute. Owners gathered in Buckhead, a ritzy suburb of Atlanta, Monday for owner meetings. A decision about which city will host the 2012 game is expected to be made Tuesday afternoon, shortly after the three cities vying for the game make 15-minute presentations. (more)
If you wish to send last minute words of encouragement to our team, or post final thoughts for NFL owners to consider, you can do so here.
