That’s a lot of sponsors, hardly makes it worth it.

Good luck, though.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a contest out there that is giving away $1,000 cash! 10 sponsors is a lot? I think it’s a heck of a deal!

Thanks for your honesty, Amy!

Wow. That’s a brilliant idea. Have everyone else do a month’s worth of your work, you get paid for it, then give everyone else (who did the work) a “chance” to earn a small fraction of what the work is actually worth.

Amy, I’m with you.

So mentioning 10 sites in a blog post isn’t worth trying to win $1,000 cash? Really?

What I didn’t want to do is collect a bunch of bogus prizes from people trying to empty out their marketing closets and put it up and state that I’m giving away “thousands of dollars” of prizes when they aren’t worth a penny.

This is $1,000! Cash! How am I getting paid for it? My personal cost is $340 since I put in the $100 for myself, 2 of the sponsors, and I’m paying the Paypal fee. If you folks don’t think $1,000 isn’t worth it, I wish I were in your shoes.

Just a note, I updated the post so it looks a little less daunting. We’ll leave it totally up to the contestants to write what they would like about each of the sponsors!

A few sentences in a single blog post, or you can write a blog post about each of the sponsors and get 10 extra contest entries.

Good Luck!

Well, I was not privy to the original post regarding the $1,000 ‘give-a-way’ but I think the ‘updated version’ is a great deal! Especially for anyone who is a blogger. Why not write a review and make it one of your own posts? Just a thought - kill two birds with one stone!

I’m game :) I personally think it’s a fantastic contest and the possibility of winning $1,000 so close to Christmas is a definite plus.

I didn’t see a restriction on the type of blog that the product/service reviews could be posted to. Does the blog have to be geared strictly toward marketing or can the theme be something else such as fitness, homeschooling, women working from home or a hodge podge of different things?
