Windows Vista changes Licensing

VistaFrom a find by Geeks are Sexy on ZDNet. This is absolutely ridiculous for the home user who upgrades their PC often:

Per ZDNet: The short version is that you may “reassign the license to another device one time” or “make a one time transfer of the software, and this agreement, directly to a third party.”

You can read the license here

It makes me wonder whether or not there are some Linux users at Microsoft, secretly pushing plots like this so the monster devours itself.

This is sad.

The only part that surprises me is the clause allowing transfer of a license to someone else. This didn’t used to be permitted under the license, did it?
