Or… Arthur C. Clarke sues Apple over the use of ‘Pod’. Remember, “Closing the Pod Doors, Hal.”
Or… Rock band, The Breeders, sue Apple over the use of the word ‘Pod’. The name of one of their albums.

Are you kidding me, Apple? All of your marketers spend day and night trying to get your branded vocabulary into our daily lingo and now that it’s there, you want a cut of it? Are you kidding me? I hope and pray for the day that one of my terms goes mainstream off of product I developed and marketed.

This is as ridiculous as Google suing over Googling. How many millions of dollars are you making off of word of mouth advertising where folks are utilizing that term? Now you want more? It already paid for itself! People don’t even say “Search the Web” anymore… it’s “Did you Google that?”.
Did you know that if you Google… er… do a Web Search for Macintosh Apple, the apple industry doesn’t come up? I think it’s time for Washington State to sue Apple for the irreparable damage it’s doing to the apple industry because no one can find Macintosh Apples online.
Effective immediately, I think we should all comply with Apple’s wishes and change the term to affiliate itself with the Zune. From this day forward, Podcasting should be called “Zuning”!
I mean, hey, enough with the Mac bashing! … Ah hell, even I can’t excuse Apple for what they’re doing right now. It was inevitable that the power would go to their head sooner or later.
